Who we are

This website is operated by Human Factor Studios LLP ("we", "us", "our").

What we collect

You do not need an account to use this site. When you browse it, our analytics provider (see "Analytics" below) collects anonymous usage information and stores a random identifier in your browser. If you use one of our demos, we also collect what is described below.

The demos

Our demos show AI working for made-up businesses: a support chatbot, an enquiry chat, inbox triage, notes to records, matching and document intake. When you use one, we record:

• anything you type into it, such as chat messages, answers to the enquiry chat, an email you write for the inbox, notes you write up, or a request you describe for matching, together with what the demo produced from it (replies, records, drafts, rankings or extracted details). The document demo uses only our own sample papers and accepts no uploads or typed text;
• a random ID, created when the page loads, which links one visit's activity together but not to you;
• which business sector the demo was shown for, and which example you picked;
• technical details of each run, such as the time, which AI model answered, how long it took and what it cost, and the demo's automatic readings (for example the topic and your mood in the chatbot, or urgency in the inbox).

Your IP address is used to limit how often each demo can be used, so the demos cannot be abused. We store only a one-way hash of it, which is deleted within 24 hours.

Please do not type real personal details, such as names, contact details or account or reference numbers. The businesses in the demos are fictional and cannot act on them. Nothing a demo produces is sent to any real business or system.

We use this information to run the demos, to prevent abuse, and to improve how they work. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in doing so.

Who handles demo data

To run the demos, we use these service providers, who process the data on our behalf:

• TypeSafe, whose models make quick judgements about what you type or what a demo has produced, such as its topic, urgency or how well something fits;
• Anthropic, whose AI model writes the replies, records, drafts and explanations. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models;
• Langfuse, which stores records of each demo run for us in the European Union;
• PostHog, which records technical details and errors (but never what you type or what the demo writes) so we can monitor how the demos perform;
• Upstash, which holds the short-lived usage counters;
• Vercel, which hosts this site.

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

Records of demo runs are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted. Usage counters are deleted within 24 hours.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how visitors use this site. It does not use cookies and gathers anonymous, aggregated information such as page views, referrers, and browser type.

We also use PostHog for product analytics, error tracking and service logs. PostHog stores a random identifier in your browser (in cookies or local storage) so it can recognise repeat visits, and it records information such as the pages you view, clicks, your approximate location, browser and device type, and technical errors. We do not identify you from this. For the demos, PostHog receives only what you did (for example, that you sent a message, picked an example or ran a demo), the sector it was shown for, the demo's automatic readings, and technical details such as timings, cost and errors. It does not receive anything you type or anything the demo writes.

Third-party services

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may log standard server access information (such as your IP address) when your browser requests these fonts. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Your rights

If you have used a demo, you can ask us for a copy of what was recorded, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Because demo records are not linked to your identity, please tell us which demo you used, roughly when, and what you wrote, so we can find it.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. If you have questions about this policy, you can contact us at the address below.
